Everyone is different, but I think pointing out the propagandistic programming that people are surrounded by is like closing the barn door after the horses escaped.

When I began having access to news coverage that was countering MSM narratives, my attraction to Tom Clancy inspired action movies waned dramatically.

As a former English major and a communications employee, I think there’s nothing wrong with well told stories, even if they misrepresent reality by demonizing the usual enemies, and painting the Americans as the heroes. BUT, reality is always a murky kind of phenomenon, so simplistic good guy-bad guy storylines aren’t even worth watching on an aesthetic level, and hewing to truth and boring people is not a better option.

I think Kit is right in pointing out how 10 years of alternative media, growing exponentially has altered many minds regarding critical imperial narratives.

The genocide was the impetus, but unconscious support for Israel was completely reversed in a matter of years. And the declining numbers of consumers of the MSM is the cherry on top.

There will always be a need for honest journalism, and I think there will always be people who will pay for bad news, provided it is without an agenda.

I just saw a Richard Medhurst podcast, where he has scooped the alternative media with a story the MSM will never run. The U.S. has locked in sole proprietary rights of LNG for Europe, CHINA, and the world market. I think the fate of China isn’t clear at all, but allowing Qatar’s LNG reserves to be either destroyed or shut down, puts the U.S. in a strong economic position, which Trump is hoping will save his ass from being impeached.

Here’s a link to Medhurst’s breaking news (it’s several minutes into the video before Richard in frenetic splendor delivers the story):

Karim, you are incredibly plugged in. I think it was BettBeat that introduced me to Medhurst’s work which was, l think, some months before he was arrested in London.

I look forward to your article.
