A very interesting, worthwhile interview, many thanks for that.

I would like to make a couple of general remarks, not about Maura per se or about the interview, both of whom are execellent. My points are about a couple of the concept of "anti-Semitism". Apologies for it being a long as a comment.

* There is no such thing as a Semitic race. There are Semitic languages that are spoken by people who are ethnically differt from one another.

* Contrary to what the Zionists claim and the Nazis claimed, the Jews do not form a race. Yes, they may have certain physical traits in common, and yes, race typically describes physical traits, but is there a Jewish DNA marker? No. Furthermore, do people who convert to Judaism go through a DNA change too? Of course not. The same goes for people who renounce Judaism: their DNA does not change. Judaism is a religion, Jewishness is a cultural concept.

* Why is that we hear about "anti-Semitism" all the time whereas we hardly ever hear about other forms of racism?

The reason is that the Jews control the narrative through the media they control, and therefore make sure "anti-Semitism" is on everyone's radar screen (at least in the West) all the time. The spin-off of that is that people believe anti-Semitism is THE most important form of racism (even though, ironically, the Jews do not form a race) that needs to be dealt with urgently, while all other forms of racism can be dealt with as and when convenient, if at all.

That is why israel is an artificial construct. The Jews never needed and still do not need their own country to be sovereign and safe. They already have their own country (countries): a French Jew has the exact same rights and obligation, as well as sovereignty, as non-Jewish French people, and that goes for Jews in whichever country they live; the same for American Jews, British Jews, etc. Claiming a need for their own country is not any more justified than any other group claiming it on such basis, else why not give stamp collectors or German Shepard breeders their own countries?

Never mind the fact that that Jewish country is accepted in the West as a Jew-supremacist state in a similar vein as the erstwhile Aryan-supremacist state.

We should step away from the concept of "racism" and use the term "bigotry" instead as that describes all forms of hateful intolerance and prejudice against any groups, be they the Jews, the Blacks, the Muslims, the Chinese, the Gays, the Transgenders, etc.

Those who liked this video might like to read the book "One Land Two Stories" by a Denver Jew who grew up in Israel, and a Denver Arab who had been driven from his home at 5 years old in the Nakba.

My new framework is that the US is the parent and Israel is a spoiled child who always gets their way.
