One detainee recalled being forced to strip and kiss the Israeli flag; upon refusal, the detainee was beaten resulting in extreme genital trauma.
The sexual harassment extended to forced attempts at kissing, touching their breasts, and threats to their lives. Female detainees are photographed and filmed naked in humiliating positions.
The report also details horrifying acts of rape and sexual assault where detainees were subjected to burns, and objects such as sticks and broomsticks were inserted into genitals and anuses—often these assaults were filmed by soldiers to later enjoy in the privacy of their homes. In one shocking revelation, soldiers raped a detainee, causing life-threatening injuries.
