What is transpiring in Palestine now can only be described as a manifestation of evil—so blatant and so supported by entities we once trusted to protect us—that it literally scars the soul.

How could a person do what this young man did and feel no remorse? Propaganda poisoned his mind and he will suffer the rest of his life because he clearly now knows what a monstrous thing he did.
We Americans are the same as this man, we will realize one day that we were monstrously silent because we did not see through the propaganda. First thing to do is turn the corporate tv "news" off and support independent journalist like this one.

About this American. You'll be surprised at the lack of remorse among many war criminals. Many greatly enjoy the absolute impunity to do with the victims what they want. I have seen interviews with 90 year old Nazis who still miss the good old days and have no remorse whatsoever.
Rotting in jail may have some effect, like with the guy above. But I think the vast majority of the Israelis who were part of the brutal 20 year long occupation of Lebanon where they did the most horrible things to the locals (forcing parents to rape their daughters, bestiality, child sexual abuse, torture) have no issue with it whatsoever. Probably they're currently supporting the genocide of the Palestinians, if they're still alive.
